Man of God – I –

Man of God – I

Before fear softens you, before comfort kills your instincts, and before excuses become your personality, remember this: you were not designed to be weak or fragile. You were designed by God with intention, virtue, and responsibility. That truth alone terrifies the modern world because if a man recognizes he was designed, he must also admit he was designed for something serious. He was made to be strong, intelligent, virtuous, kind, and powerful when needed—a protector and a provider. A man must comply with his duty, and sacrifices must be made for the right things to happen in the short time he has been given to live a life worth living.

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”1 Corinthians 16:13

God did not design men to be weak observers of life; men were not designed to sit and complain, consume, and decay. A man designed by God was meant to carry weight. He was meant to have authority, responsibility, and purpose. While thankfully not all men are lost, in these times, many have deviated from their role in human society. Distracted by material fashion, video games, the consumption of extreme violence, and the illusion of strength through tattoos and appearance, they have forgotten their nature as protectors—not only of what is convenient, but as protectors of order, creating a proper space for new generations and every form of life on this planet. Today, many men are confused, emotionally fragile, mentally scattered, and spiritually empty. Some are so lost they believe that inflicting pain or worry on those smaller or weaker than them makes them strong. They manipulate with threats, hiding behind drugs, alcohol, or weapons. Man has traded purpose for pleasure.

“Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.”Proverbs 25:28

When a man disconnects from his design, he destroys himself. A man designed by God is not created to be comfortable; comfort is not the goal, ease is not the mission, and safety is not the calling. Responsibility is the goal. Pressure, burden, and sacrifice are the calling. Work comes before comfort, and duty comes before rest. This is where the modern man collapses: he wants the reward without the weight, the purpose without the pain, the blessings without the discipline, and the sex without the commitment.

“Difficulties strengthen the mind, as labor does the body.”Seneca

Strength is built through resistance; pressure forges clarity, burden creates a backbone, and pain sharpens purpose. God does not give strong assignments to weak men. Those who can understand this article know the price of freedom, wellness, and deserved love. They understand the hard truth that a man is not loved unconditionally like a baby, a woman, or a puppy is loved. Before a man is loved, he must earn respect. It is vital to distinguish between fear and respect: respect is earned by being a responsible protector and provider. But more importantly, a man should only be respected if he fears and answers to God, aligning himself with what God’s commandments consider of good nature.

“We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”Romans 5:3-4

This article is not intended to judge anyone, but to serve as a point of reflection. It does not need to be debated, but meditated upon. Society is built by continents, countries, families, and at the core, by each of us individually. We must know exactly who we are. If these words can wake up those who need it—so they may live a better life for themselves and those who matter around them—then this article is of value. For those who already live a life centered on God, this will be a reminder that life does not reward intention or ideas; life rewards those who accept their responsibilities, acquire high-value virtues, and put them into action.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”James 1:22
